This chocolate protein oats is one of these healthy breakfast recipes that want to make you dessert. And honestly, I did it for me for dessert after dinner several nights this week, so it can be both! Let’s move on to this delicious recipe.

Instead of skipping breakfast, start your day well and sweet. Not only is this oat flour so delicious, but it also has a combination of carbohydrates, proteins and healthy fats to start your day with all the necessary macronutrients!
What you will need to make this oat chocolate protein
- oats– I use regular rolled oats. You can use your favorite type of oats!
- banana– Crush a banana in the gruel adds flavor and sweetness.
- peanut butter– Include peanut butter or your preferred walnut butter for proteins.
- chocolate protein powder– I like to add chocolate protein powder for proteins and a chocolate flavor.
- cocoa powder– This adds a deeper flavor of chocolate.
- maple syrup– Add the maple syrup for a natural sweetener.
- vanilla– Vanilla is a great way to add an additional flavor to this recipe.
- pinched salt– You will want to add salt to balance the sweetness.
- milk without dairy– Cook the gruel in your milk without favorite dairy products to keep this vegan recipe.
Filling
I exceeded my oatmeal with a banana in slices, chocolate chips without dairy products and dried coconut. The beauty of this recipe is that it is so versatile. You can garnish this with your favorite fruits such as strawberries, raspberries or even oranges. For more protein and crunch, garnish with almonds or nuts. The fillings make this oat flour very fun to eat, so make this recipe yours by adding all your favorites!

Faq
You can use any type of oat for this recipe. I use regular rolled oats which baked in about 5 minutes. If you use a quick oat, keep in mind that they will be cooked faster in about 2 minutes. Steel cut oats will also work, but they take about 20 minutes.
Yes, oats are gluten -free! If you are very sensitive to gluten, be sure to obtain certified gluten-free oats to avoid any problem.
You can make this upcoming recipe and store it in the refrigerator in an airtight container up to 3 days. Simply warm in the microwave and garnish with your favorite fillings! You can also freeze oat flour for a few months and get it out as you need.
