No-cook recipes like these granola yogurt cups or this one protein bar recipe are my favorite because they are so simple to prepare. And these mini yogurt pots bring all your favorite textures in one bite.
I love the fresh, fruity, crunchy granola flavor they bring to my day. They feature a dollop of creamy, protein-rich yogurt on a crumbly peanut butter banana base and are then finished with your favorite fruit. Use these yogurt granola cups with a mango protein smoothie for an easy breakfast, or enjoy them mid-afternoon when you need a boost of energy.

Ingredients
- Peanut butter: Use a natural peanut butter so it mixes well with the oat mixture. Almond butter or cashew butter can also work.
- Vegan yogurt: You want a thick, creamy yogurt mixture for the ultimate richness. You can vary the flavor of the snack by choosing a fruity base.
- Fresh fruit filling: Any fruit you have on hand will work for the granola yogurt cups. I like to try making a mix of kiwi, pomegranate and blueberries for a pop of color.
See the recipe card below for exact ingredient quantities, nutritional information and detailed instructions.
Variants
- Rich chocolate: Add cocoa powder to the granola base and use chocolate protein powder for a rich chocolate topping.
- Tropical: Choose mango and pineapple for the fruit topping. Next, add shredded or toasted coconut to the base and sprinkle it over the frozen yogurt granola cups.
- Gluten free: To make gluten-free granola yogurt bites, use certified gluten-free oats.
- Lemon: On the fruit and in the base, grate the fresh lemon zest for a sunny taste.
How to Make Frozen Yogurt Cups
These yogurt and granola cups come together with minimal kitchen effort and just a few steps. In fact, the hardest part is waiting for them to set in the freezer!

Step 1: Prepare the base. Mash the banana in a bowl and mix in the oatmeal, maple syrup and peanut butter.

Step 2: Divide the mixture. Divide the peanut butter base evenly into the silicone molds using 1 to 2 tablespoons in each. Press the granola into each cup gently and firmly.

Step 3: Prepare the yogurt and Layer the cups. Mix vegan yogurt, protein powder and maple syrup in a bowl. Blend until smooth. In each cup, add a spoonful of yogurt mixture, about 3 tablespoons, to the granola.

Step 4: Garnish with fruit: Top each cup with fresh fruit and place the yogurt cups in the freezer for 2-3 hours. Let the yogurt pots cool on the counter for 3 to 5 minutes before enjoying them. I love them for lunch after eating a tuna salad with chickpeas sandwich.
Expert advice
- Squeeze the Granola: When portioning the granola base, press it firmly into the molds. The firmer it is pressed, the better it will hold together when removed.
- Silicone molds: These frozen yogurt fruit cups work best with silicone molds. With paper liners, it becomes too difficult to peel them off once frozen.
- Freeze: Yogurt pots should be put in the freezer for at least two hours.
- Storage: Once each container of frozen yogurt is set, remove them from the muffin pan and store them in an airtight container for 4 to 6 weeks.

Recipe FAQs
No, but it makes removing the yogurt pots easier. If using paper liners, let the yogurt cups sit on the counter for 3 to 5 minutes before removing them from the liner.
Yes, you can turn yogurt pots into popsicles by placing a popsicle stick, vertically, in each mold. This makes for mess-free eating when the cup of frozen yogurt starts to melt.
Any yogurt can be used to prepare these yogurt pots. However, thicker yogurt works better because it contains less water and will not crystallize as much as thinner yogurt.
